Stunning scenery, small town charm and world-class wine – this is what awaits you at the 2019 Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon. Oh, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to run alongside a couple of our famous running goats, who jumped the fence and joined the race around mile 4 last year.
Launched by Matt Dockstader of Destination Races in 2010, with support from the Oregon Sports Authority, Ken Wright Cellars and Yamhill Carlton Together Cares, the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon winds through lush vineyards and country roads from Stoller Family Estate in the Dundee Hills into the charming town of Carlton. It is in Carlton where – led by Oregon wine icon Ken Wright – the community cheerfully comes together to stage a jubilant post-race wine and music festival, embracing runners from around the globe.
Now a signature annual event on the Oregon summer running calendar, the Oregon Wine Country Half Marathon is quite simply one of the most scenic, rewarding and runner-friendly races in the nation. Now locally owned and operated, the Oregon Sports Authority and our Co-Race Director Matt Dockstader are committed to conducting a first class event — one that fully engages and positively impacts the local community. Please join us for the Half Marathon or 2-Person Relay and help celebrate our 10th Anniversary on Labor Day weekend!
